Dear friends and colleagues,

You might like to know that Erne's family, friends and fellow musicians have organised a memorial concert in Milngavie Town Hall on January 23rd, 2010, in order to celebrate his life and music.

We thought the time of year was most appropriate, given Erne's great passion for Burns. You will recall the many Burns nights he delighted in organizing at The Place.

Erne played with musicians from all musical genres over the years and the concert will feature musicians and singers from his very wide range of musical constituencies. We hope you will join with us in remembering a very special friend.
As usual, all proceeds from the night will go to the Suzy Fund.

Local band "Doghouse" were very well received at The Place last year and members of the band, several of whom played with Erne in previous bands, have very generously staged three concerts in the Corbie Hall to help cover some of the costs of Erne's concert.

Their first concert in September featured a guest appearance from Mike Simons. Their next concert is on October 16th with John Hinshelwood as guest and their third concert on November 20th features Lainey Scott Campbell. Tickets are only £5 - so you can have a really entertaining evening and support Erne's concert at the same time.
