Originally it was set up by Erne Parkin, to provide a regular venue for his own band ‘The Cross Border Band’, but as time went on and the club became more popular. he decided to book more well known acts, whom he knew from his involvement in the ‘music scene’ in Scotland and who were looking for gigs in this area.

Since then the club has played host to a whole variety of performers from the world of Folk, Jazz, World and ‘Roots’ music.

The club also encourages local talent.
