Without exception, everyone who has played at The Place recognise it, as one of the best, small clubs of its kind in the UK, never mind Scotland!
Well organised and with a very enthusiastic audience - artists such as Michael Marra, The McCalmans and Mick West have frequently sung it’s praises. So much so we are entering the Folk Club of the year competition, run by BBC ‘Folk on 2’
